All Flowers Remind Me Of You

Flowers have a sentimental “root” for me, if you will. Many people know that my dad was in the Tabernacle Choir for about 19 years until he had to retire. He started a tradition of shooting me a text on Sunday mornings with a picture he’d taken, often of flowers, before the Music and the Spoken Word Broadcast.

Somewhere along the line, I started collecting these pictures of flowers and taking my own. I love their bright, exuberant colors and their delicate, velvety petals. Flowers are like nature’s small explanation points. There’s something incredibly hopeful and renewing about the word “bloom!”
