Kwani, Line Upon Line

Kwani is a beautiful, kind mother of two daughters. She has a rich family heritage as a member of the Santa Clara Pueblo Tribe. Whether in the studio or out, she seeks to connect with her ancestral roots and culture while continuing her family legacy. Through art, she continues to discover her identity brushstroke by brushstroke.

As Kwani forges her unique path, she is a light to many, including myself. It was she who first helped me believe that it’s possible to be a good mother and an artist. I hope she finds peace, guidance, and joy along her journey.

Life is filled with uncertainty, especially as a mother. No two days are ever the same, and the demands of family life can be overwhelming at times. There is great comfort in 2 Nephi 28:30 where God promises to give what we need--“line upon line” --as we heed His counsel. Though we often don’t see the end from the beginning, the Lord guides us and our families step by step along personalized paths toward blessings we couldn’t fathom for ourselves or think was possible.

“I will give unto the children of men line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little; and blessed are those who hearken unto my precepts, and lend an ear unto my counsel, for they shall learn wisdom.” –2 Nephi 28:30
