I Know That My Savior Loves Me

I know that Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6). When I have doubts or difficulties, when I’m feeling the adversary’s “shafts in the whirlwind” (Helaman 5:12), I know that I need only look to the Savior and His restored gospel to feel His love, comfort, and especially peace. It is He Who is my foundation and gives me the strength to keep moving forward despite the difficulties and uncertainties of life. The title for this piece comes from a children’s song. One of the lyrics conveys my feelings perfectly: “I did not touch Him or sit on His knee, yet, Jesus is real to me.” As my husband and I strive to build a Christ-centered home and share the gospel with our children, we hope that one day they will come to know of the Savior’s reality for themselves. We hope that they will continue to build upon Him, “…a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.” (Helaman 5:12).
