Morning Feast
In 2 Nephi 32: 3, we are counseled to “feast upon the words of Christ.” Just as the beginning of each new day brings renewed hope and light, so the dawn of the Restoration brought forth the light of the Book of Mormon and other modern-day scripture. The pages closest to the candlelight are reminiscent of the golden plates from which the text originated; however, its contents are worth more than the physical material upon which it was written. The Savior said “I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst” (John 6:35). His words provide nourishment and peace no physical feast can replicate. When we have early scripture study, we can say “Oh how lovely was the morning!”
